Jamie Jabber 47 - Roles

  1. This is REALLY interesting! I haven't read any Eckhart, but it seems like the cognitive dissonance would be problematic. If people started interacting with me in a way I wasn't expecting, I'd probably become frustrated (at least initially). Seems like you'd need a mutual shift for people to coexist constructively with this perspective. Or at least have flexibility on both ends to accept a positive but completely novel experience.

  2. Yeah, I am thinking that would have to be the case as well. Some people, though, are so unconscious of it in the first place that they might not miss it.

One thing I didn't really elaborate on is talking to children. EVERYONE has a different demeanor when they talk to children. When I was tutoring, I made it a point to talk to them like adults. In the short time I was with them, I got a great response.

You need to read, or listen to, Eckhart. I have the audiobook of "Power of Now" and "A New Earth" and I can upload it and have you download it from there. His voice is AMAZING as well.

Even just picking some chapter at random and listening to it for a minute will be exciting.
