SO FUNNY you just posted this! I was thinking about this the other day - how before I had MS, I always thought of my thoughts/personality/mental sense of self as being completely separate from my physical self.
ReplyDeleteBut when you experience damage to parts of your brain and see first hand how that impacts your thoughts and your non-physical functioning (physical too, but that's obvious), it's a really humbling experience! It somehow makes a part of you that seemed untouchable very fragile! But there's also power in seeing that wholeness and humanness.
